New Team Directors

I am beyond grateful that Robert Eccles and Lauren Thompson have agreed to serve as CATS Team Directors. Over the past few months, they’ve jumped right in, fully immersing themselves in preparing for the season. Together, we’ve tackled the GASL league requirements, finalized staffing, planned the summer schedule, coordinated logistics, and handled all the behind-the-scenes details that get the team ready. Their energy, organization, and care for the team have been incredible, and it’s been a true pleasure working with them.

This summer, we will run the team together as they continue to learn the role. Beginning in summer 2027, they will take the lead as Team Directors. I’m excited for the future of CATS and for the enthusiasm and ideas they will bring as they help the team continue to grow.

Stroke & Turn Officials Needed

Elizabeth Ruddy is our Head Stroke and Turn Volunteer and is organizing our officials for the season. Serving as an official gives you a front-row seat to all the action, and you can schedule your volunteer sessions for the entire season—no last-minute sign-ups required!

Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered. We still need one more official for the summer. Training will take place in May. If you’re interested, please contact Elizabeth at [email protected].  

We Have a Timing System!
We are thrilled to share that CATS now has a timing system. What does this mean for our meets?

• Race times will post almost in real time.
• We will need fewer volunteer timers.
• Our wonderful Meet Manager, Connie, will no longer need to manually enter every time into the system.

We will test the new system during Time Trials on June 6. Please be patient as we work through any early kinks while learning the system.

Thank you all for helping make CATS such a great team for our swimmers. We can't wait to see you all on deck.
