Our swim team is run totally by volunteers. With a swim team of 164 swimmers, it is very important and needed to run the meets that ALL families support the team and volunteer. All parent/guardians are required to volunteer for specific volunteer slots during the season. The volunteer jobs are timer, stroke and turn, ribbons, clerk of course, announcer and concessions. The only paid official at a swim meet is the starter. All others are volunteers. 

You are required to sign up on Swimtopia for your volunteer slots by JUNE 20th for your child to show as an eligible swimmer in the Swimtopia system. A volunteer slot is roughly 1⁄2 the length of the meet. 

The volunteer requirements are as follows:

• If you have 1 swimmer on the team you are required to sign up for 3 volunteer spots, with 1 being an away meet.
• If you have 2 or more swimmers on the team, you are required to sign up for 4 volunteer spots with at least 1 being away meets.

If you cannot be at the meet to perform your job, it is your responsibility to find a replacement. Failure to work at an assigned meet will result in a $150.00 fine per meet missed. Additionally, if you do not sign up for the required volunteer obligations your child will not be permitted to swim in the meets. The Swimtopia platform will help track and confirm that all parents have fulfilled their volunteer requirements.

How to Register for Jobs and Swims at a Meet:

Log in to the website. Login is found in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

If you can’t remember your password, click "Forgot your password" to reset your password.

Under the Meets & Events tab, select "Team Calendar" to sign up for a swim meet.

Job Signup

• Click the green JOB SIGNUP tab and sign up for volunteer shifts (note one parent may sign up both parents for jobs -- scroll down and you’ll see the other parent listed). If you know you and your spouse will not be at this meet, skip to Swimmer Signup.
• Click Save Assignments.
• Click Back to Signup Calendar.

If your team allows your athletes to declare attendance and/or select meet entries:

• Click the green MEET ENTRY tab, and then click the green Edit tab under your athletes' names.
• For each of your athletes, select an option from the drop down list next to their names.
  • (undeclared) 
  • Attending
  • Not Attending

• Specify your swimmer's availability for relays from the drop down options (if offered). 
• Click Save to record your choices.

UNDECLARED ATHLETES WILL BE CONSIDERED NOT ATTENDING.

It is possible that you may not be able to RSVP to NON-swim meet events on the app or you may not be automatically redirected. If that is the case, please go to cstc.swimtopia.com and navigate to the Team Calendar page. Scroll to the event that requires an RSVP and click on the green bar that reads "RSVP open". That will bring you directly to the RSVP page for the event.
